The Disc Golf Streak, Day 1045 (Peter Pan & Hammond)

Day 1045.

Today Danny played nine holes at Peter Pan in the morning and nine holes at Hammond in the afternoon.  Weather was nice and cool by Kansas standards and Danny threw well at both courses.  He was +1 (28) at Peter Pan and par (27) at Hammond.  So, 55 for the day, rated at 820.

Ben & Zach came out to watch his morning round so that helped keep him loose and relaxed (he always shoots well around them).  Luckiest shot of the day came when he was playing the last hole at Peter Pan (Monkey Island) and he griplocked and released right . . . and it looked like it was hitting the outside of the wall . . . but it turned out there was a gap in the wall and it landed inside.  And then he hit the 25'-ish putt for two.  Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

He threw with Jordon Morrow, Blake Pettigrew and Jeren Johnston both rounds.  And again it was great, some of the boys stayed and played together for a couple hours after the afternoon round finished.  It has been a great time for Danny.

Went to the zoo in the evening.  Larger and nicer than I expected for a small town, it was a nice place to walk around on a comfortable evening.  They had a scavenger search for the kids and they got a disc for completing it (he got a Opto Air Fuse).

I think if you took this picture of all disc golfers I could tell you who can throw the farthest . . .

And he had me take this last pic and send it to his sister because (for some reason) she doesn't like emus.  Ha ha
