The Disc Golf Streak, Day 998 (Germantown aka Twin Creek, couple casual rounds)

Day 998.

We were looking to have some fun throwing with just the two of us on Day 1000 weekend, so I looked over our dgcr course wishlist and figured that Germantown just south of Dayton would be a fun, new short course for us to throw.   So we did two rounds on the Red (easier/shorter) course and had a great time.

It was more challenging than I expected -- partly because there were so many trees and partly because there were a bunch of holes that only had the black (harder) baskets in place.  Wherever possible we went for ace runs rather than playing smart since the goal was to have fun.  His rounds were +1 and -2 and mine were -11 and -9.

Most of the time we were there it was like it was snowing (not exaggerating) because there was so much weed seed (cottonwood fluff I think) in the air.  You can see it in the background and on the walkway behind Danny.

Also saw some frogs and a pretty long snake.  My mom reads this diary blog -- Mom, Danny said I should take this picture for you:

Great course for kids, we'll definitely go again at some point. It's like Winton Woods with a lot more trees.
