The Disc Golf Streak, Day 824 (Osage & Karl Von Coldewey casual rounds)

Day 824.

Beautiful 60+ degree day today so we went to Osage and threw a round from short tees to short baskets playing dubs.  Playing from our first shots we threw a 7-under (one bogey on 16).  Danny got a new Starlite Valkyrie that he was using for nearly every drive and it was very workable for him.  I'd been looking for something in between his Beast and Diamond and this is it.  He was getting it out about 200' with some pretty low effort throws and working a lot of different lines with it.  He had some solo deuces out there today (on #2, #3 & #7) which was good to see .  We did throw a handful of extra practice shots today -- both of us got some extra practice in with the new ESP Banger GTs.  Very nice driving and approach putter for both of us.  Played the last couple holes with a couple beginners so it was funny when they were impressed by my overdriving #17 (LOL), Danny hitting the 35' comeback putt on #17 and both of us putting our approaches on #18 within 15' of the hole from about 150' out (both using our new Bangers).  Ha ha, good times, I do love playing with new players who still have a pure love for the game.

After that with a short car rest and snack break and some persuasion by me about increasing his stamina we played a short round at Karl Von Coldewey.  Think we ended up 3-under playing dubs . . . very windy out there (blowing in that warm weather I guess) so that was good practice.  Four disc round, it's always fun to play a quick round with discs in hand . . .
