The Disc Golf Streak, Day 700 (fun putting video & Osage dubs)

Day 700 of the streak.

On Day 699 in anticipation of Day 700, we made a fun little putting video in the yard:

Then on Day 700 to do something "special" we went to dubs at Osage Grove DGC run by Nate Patterson and teamed up.  Second time this year we've done that (it's randon draw dubs but Nate lets us play with our kids).  Last time we threw a 6-under -- this time was just par, but it was a significantly more difficult layout (all shorts still, but some much longer and tougher pin positions).  So we were satisfied since par is respectable.  I think 8-under won and 5-under was last cash.

Our foursome included Josh Terwilliger and his son Kyle (and score was kept by Jacob).  That was the first time I'd seen Kyle throw and it was a good pairing for us.  Kyle's a little older and he and Danny are pretty similar in skill level.  Overall we were tied through 15 holes but they threw some great shots on the last three holes (Josh almost hit the group across the creek on 18 and halfway up the hill with his drive!) to end up with a 3-under.

Noteworthy for us -- we took a 2 on Hole 8 (short right pin) with a good drive and Danny nailing a 25-30' putt through a tree gap, I threw my best drive ever on 13 (inside circle 1 with a lightweight Star Shryke, although we missed the putt), Danny's forehands were really, really sharp overall and Danny hit a 35' comeback death putt  on 18 to cinch our par round and save our dignity!

Had a great time, it was a good way to spend Day 700!
