Facebook diary entry. Day 550 of the streak. Great day of disc golf.
Went up to the Arnold Junior event in Columbus with Lamar and Lucas. Played two nine holes rounds on a kids temp course at Walnut Hill DGC. Really cold and windy this morning, but at least sunny. They had six boys in their 10 and under division, so it was worth the trip. The other kids were really good (and a lot taller than our boys). The tourney was well run (by Paul Jay), especially for a first time event. Both boys played really well. Danny ended up finishing second, one stroke off the lead.
Of course that wasn't enough disc golf for the boys, so we stopped at the CCYC course in Wilmington on the way home to break up the drive. I think that's Danny's 31st course (Walnut Hill was #30). Great kid-friendly 9 hole course, kids loved it. Eric Gee
Got home, first thing Danny wanted to do was throw the new discs they handed out at the tourney. (They were really generous, handing out 4 discs per kid. ) So another hour and another round . . .
