The Disc Golf Streak, Day 3400 (Harbin, casual dubs, cubby ace)

Day 3400

Pretty nice day, decided to go out to Harbin and check out the redesign.

New teepads, new baskets, two pin positions on each hole, lots of brush removed.

I walked away pretty much feeling the same about it as I did before.  The positives were new teepads and new baskets.  The moved pins didn't matter too much either way.  Brush removal was a nice improvement in some areas but really made a few holes worse.  As a whole I think the brush removal was an improvement just because it got rid of a lot of aggravation and still mostly plays the same.  Only real design change was adding two holes (5&6) on the hillside after the long hole . . . and we skipped those because of a slow group and they didn't look very fun to throw (well, specifically walking back up a giant hill on an open hole).

I got a cubby ace on Hole 16 . . . I threw three shots because for some reason that hole always trips me and takes me lunch money from me.  So the "ace" felt good at least.

An example of too much brush removed . . . no real challenge left on the water tower hole with the big honeysuckle bush gone:

Had a good time, not any more or less likely to throw Harbin than we were before.  Decent course to hit up for throwing a bunch of drives on more open terrain.
