Days 3287 & 3288
Played Deer Run on Saturday, course is in nice shape, well maintained, teepads are nice and a few of the pins were moved to different locations than we were used to. We threw poorly by our standards, but not at the same time so playing dubs we managed 15-under (39) from Reds. Noteworthy: he birdied Hole 9 (almost aced) and he split the corner gap on 17 and put us about 100' out on a nearly 500' hole. Easy 3, amazing tee shot. He also smacked the band on 14 with a second practice shot.
Sunday was nine years for the streak (started 8/31/16) and we threw at Brown County Country Club. We had skipped it the last couple years because there were tournaments going on at Labor Day but none this year so we played it again. It's rated the best course in Indiana (maybe) and top 50 worldwide (doubtful) . . . those are too high but it is a great course and I keep liking it more over time. Nice mix of woods and open holes and is well maintained. We shot 14-under (58) playing dubs from red tees. Took a pic at the same spot that we took our "course picture" eight years prior . . . he looks a little different. 😉
