The Disc Golf Streak, Day 1213 (Sycamore Trails & Germantown)

Day 1213 . . .

Day after Christmas, 60 degrees, dry . . . oh what ever will we do?

Spent the afternoon playing a new course to us -- Sycamore Trails -- our 52nd course I think (not counting home) . . .

Sycamore Trails is pretty nice, a mix of woods and open holes, short and long.  Frankly the first couple holes were so good that it set such a high standard the rest of the course was decent but kind of disappointing compared to that.  We threw pretty well but struggled putting on the Prodigy baskets they have -- both of us thought they didn't catch well and we hated the huge bands on the top.  There was a lot of signage and it was pretty good . . . and yet we still had trouble following the flow of the course in spots.  The tee signs had a lot of not-to-scale misleading pictures so several times we were mislead into throwing to the wrong basket or landing zone.  Overall it was a mix of Monroe and Gulley . . . so it was a good course and we'd go back if we were in the area, but not a go-to for us.  Mostly because we have so many great courses nearby.

This was my drive on Hole 2 . . . so much power . . .

After Sycamore Trails we were near Germantown so we stopped by and threw a quick 18 there.  We'd been there before and it's a fun, short little Winton-style course.

Great day for throwing, happily used up most of the daylight outside today . . .
