The Disc Golf Streak, Day 1117 (UC Discats dubs fundraiser @ Osage)

Day 1117.

Today was a doubles fundraiser tournament at Osage for the UC Discats (UC's disc golf team) to help them travel down to GA for the National Collegiate Disc Golf Finals.  Probably had about three dozen players come out.

Danny & I registered as team "Two Dan Death Punch."  Perfect weather -- cooler and beautiful and we carded up with Mason & Derek and Kurt Lahm and Justin Gibbs.

We started off poorly and were +2 through the first nine holes but pulled it together and ended up a respectable -3 (66 on 23 holes).  I think Kurt/Justin were 63 and Mason/Derek were 65.

So we threw decent (non-embarrassing) and we did manage to grab the division CTP, the overall cash CTP (thank you Comet) and the best thing of the day -- Danny won the ace fund throwoff.  No one hit an ace so they placed a basket at 125' for a throwoff . . . best chuckle of my day was when the guy running the throwoff (who didn't know Danny) asked if he wanted to move up and throw from the 50' sign.  LOL  I told the guy Danny was just fine from there . . . and he put his Zone nearest to the basket out of about 25 people throwing and won himself $51 (of which he donated $25 back to the Discats).

They had field events too . . . we skipped long drive and did accuracy and putting.

Great weather, lots of fun.
