Day 1042.
Today we drove an hour into Emporia. We headed straight to Flint Technical course and got a quick practice round in with Dan & Liam Mahoney. Boy was it hot (and windy).
After that we found our rental house, got settled in and then headed to Hammond Park for quick practice round and then followed up by playing in Paige Bjerkaas' two putter challenge. That was fun, we threw with two other dads and kids. Good turnout (40+ people?) and one of the other dad's and I tied at 2-under to win the am men's division. Danny was +5 and there was a kid in 10 & under that beat him by a stroke.
Side note: I was impressed with the continental breakfast at Ottawa Best Western including a make your own waffle station:
