The Disc Golf Streak, Day 1000 (Osage Birdie Bash)

Day 1000!

We threw the Osage Birdie Bash today . . . two rounds of 32 holes.  The holes included the new summer holes along the creek  (they were great!) and the weather turned out perfect.  About 150 rounds were thrown (the goal of raising $1000 for the park was met) and Danny & I did both rounds as an adult-junior team.  It was so much fun picking each other up as a team.

We threw our first round with Eric and Tom McManness and our second round with Eric, Tim Christie and Nick Long.

Both rounds were a ton of fun, the layout was great and the company was fun . . . the first round we threw great, putted great and got 21 birdies.  The second round we threw poorly, putted poorly . . . and got 24 birdies.  Go figure . . . kinda weird because the second round we started off cold missing the first five holes and then got 24 of the last 27 holes.  Didn't realize we did that until we tallied up the scorecard.

Danny ended up winning the long putt contest (Split The Putt) with one around 60' long.

Thanks Josh & Cheryl for putting together a great birdie bash so we could enjoy the day . . . and thanks Kurt & Shauna for the awesome signed disc mementos . . . a day we'll never forget.
