The Disc Golf Streak, Day 796 (casual fathers v sons dubs @ Woodland)

Day 796.

We decided we were in the mood for some casual rounds at Woodland Mound and ended up meeting up with Oz and Marshall.

Dads against kids . . . except somehow they decided we would play everything as Par 2 and they would play as Par 4.  Woodland is a short easy course so it was pretty laughable as Oz & I kept ace running a lot of the holes and Danny kept saying "Oooh, looks like you just missed your chance for a birdie." LOL

We don't just play disc golf for the disc golf . . . today was a good example of that.  Around hole 6 the boys discovered "Bob."  Bob is a fuzzy caterpillar they picked up and put on one of their discs using it as a terrarium.  From then on, the boys spent most of their time gathering habitat materials for Bob (and searching for a friend for Bob) . . . and occasionally taking a shot when we reminded them that we were also playing a round of disc golf.  When we got to the end of the round, they played "rock paper scissors" to decided who "owned" Bob.  Danny won and then they decided to set Bob free . . . "living free and in the wild" . . . the Wild Kratts would be proud.

Had a great time throwing with Oz & Marshall and the boys had a great time hanging out together.

Danny & I stuck around and played a second round (just played dubs together).

Overall it was perfect weather for early November (60 degrees, sunny, a bit breezy) and the park and drive were scenic with the changing leaves.
