The Disc Golf Streak, Day 2284 (casual @ Woodland)

Day 2284

38 degrees and not windy (hurray!) so we decided to throw at Woodland Mound.  Pins were moved around (some longer, some shorter) from the last time we were there so it was a bit different.  Had to break out the handwarmers and thermals but not too bad out there.  But evidently no one else agreed as we were the only people on the course.

I love what was done in "remodeling" the course this summer.  Much safer, teepads are perfect, baskets are uniform and good and the layout flows better.  A dramatically improved beginner course.

Today we went for aces whenever possible.  I hit one cage, one pole and missed another by a foot.  Lots of "close but no cigar."  He missed a few by a couple feet to one side or the other.  I was 12-down today.  He was "ace bashing" the course so sometimes he approached and/or putted and sometimes didn't bother.

Pic of the day . . . I spend a lot of time standing and watching him tie shoes when we're out throwing.  Also noteworthy . . . still wearing nothing but shorts . . . and it doesn't bother him.

Pic of redesigned Hole 4.  I like it.  Much harder than the rest of the course.
